Title: Sr. Build/Release /SCM Engineer.
Location: Bethesda, MD (moving to Columbia, MD in 3 months))
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 15-18 Months Contract
Responsibilities:
Position: Sr. Build/Release /SCM Engineer.
(Focus on Linux, (Jenkins or Hudson), (Subversion or GIT), Maven keywords.)
Experience: 8-10 years overall

Job Responsibilities:
1. Experienced in branching, merging, tagging in Subversion or GIT
2. Experienced in how Java uses Maven/Ant with deploying code to application servers and Integration with Java based IDE using artifact repository like Nexus
3. Experienced in coding and handling script development, maintenance and code quality responsibilities - including Maven, Ant scripts, Shell, Perl scripts etc. but not limited to.
4. Experienced with automation concepts and have engineered/interpreted manual processes towards process automation, release automation etc.
5. Experienced with upgrades, patches, restarts, testing system configuration changes etc.
Mandatory Skills:
- Linux: Good hands-on knowledge of using Linux – 5+ years
- Coding/Scripting: Expertise in Maven, Ant, Perl, Shell scripting - 3+yrs
- Code Deployments: Apache, Tomcat - 2+ years install and config
- Continuous Integration: Jenkins or Hudson – 3+ years
Optional Skills:
- Open-Source Tools: Nexus, Sonar, Puppet – Good to have
- SQL: Some basic knowledge helpful
- Languages: Java or C - Basic coding knowledge needed
