Title: Web Developer
Location: Houston, TX - Houston based candidates are highly preferred as the client only conducts face to face interviews.
This is a 6 month contract opportunity with possibility of the project being extended.
Only ideal candidates will be contacted.
Seeking a web-app developer with experience in:
- Silverlight
- WCF web service
- PL/SQL in the Oracle environment
The individual will work with the client's internal team to enhance and add new functionalities to an existing in-house application.
Responsibilities:
- Gather new requirements
- Generate functional and design specifications
- Develop, test and deploy the app to Production
- Document the new developed code for others to maintain. Work experience with E&P industry is a plus
Experience in:
- Writing code or doing other technical / analytical / configuration tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing and supporting application solutions (assisting in production issue resolution)
- Compliance with defined code and documentation standards, including peer review of code and documentation of code changes
- Re-engineering highly complex program components including code generation
- Integrating software packages residing on multiple platforms
- Understand / review functional specifications and translate into program specifications
- Define / review technical specifications
- Participation in decisions regarding the integration of software packages and programs
- Performing testing activities
- Translation of business requirements into program specifications and writing code from the functional description
Enterprise Databases:
- Oracle RDBMS
- Oracle SQL*Plus
Operating Systems:
- Microsoft Windows
Programming Tools
- Visual Studio
