Job Roles / Responsibilities:
· Seeking a Senior IT Application Architect with Corporate ERP Systems experience (Finance/HR/Legal) in the Payment Industries. The successful candidate will be capable of driving global target architecture, standards, and roadmaps in the enterprise application domain and supporting distributed hardware, operating systems, and cloud computing. He/she will act as a technical relationship manager between the Enterprise Architecture and Common Services organization and client development and/ or application development teams supporting them in defining needs, building solutions and creating value for Client. The goal of this candidate will be to drive towards building an innovative, standardized, secure, highly available, high performance, automated, and cost effective global technology platform that will enable business growth, agility, flexibility, scalability, and maximum ROI for Client.
· Review new and existing IT projects/ideas, systems designs, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural roadmaps.
· Collaborate with end users and senior management to define business requirements for complex application development and gain buy-in for all development plans.
· Consults with senior IT management on the design of moderately complex systems and projects. May consult with leadership on emerging technologies. Supports existing business systems applications.
· Strong understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies knowledge to support the needs of critical systems and projects.
· Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a Global technology stands policy.
· Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of application development effort and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness time to market.
· Possesses in-depth knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies, the enterprise and industry.
· Knowledge of ERP systems and their interactions with support systems (Oracle Based ERP Systems a plus; Oracle e-Business Suite and PeopleSoft), working knowledge of web services and middleware technologies (Oracle SOA Suite and/or IBM WebSphere SOA Stack), Linux/Windows, Virtualization/VMWare, performance management, application life cycles.
· Familiar with all or some of the following business processes: Procure to Pay, Order Management, Record to Report, Supply Chain Management
· Strong knowledge of IT systems, practices and functional units.
· 10+ yrs. of related IT experience. Bachelor's Degree. MBA is a plus.
· Financial sector experience a plus.
· Strong communication skills and ability to function as the business to IT liaison.
· Requires minimal direction from manager.
· Escalates serious issues to more senior management.
