Description:        Support the rollout of the company's FIX infrastructure using NYFIX's Appia and TradeScope software solution on Linux platform.  Serve as the companies FIX expert and advisor drawing upon past experience to help provide a supportable and sustainable infrastructure.  Participate, document and provide knowledge transfer to all levels of technical support.

 

-          4+ years experience with NYFIX's Appia and TradeScope FIX software solutions.

-          4+ years experience technical support onboarding, monitoring and debugging real-time FIX technical issues.

-          Experience supporting production FIX environments with large message volumes / business day.

-          Experience working with level-one Operations team to support FIX environment.

-          Design, document, participate and knowledge transfer FIX onboarding and certification processes.

-          Design, document and knowledge transfer of level-one Operations runbook based on NYFIXs Appia and Tradescope software as implemented within the company.

-          Design, document and knowledge transfer of potential FIX problem scenarios and respective solution procedures for all levels of technical support.

-          Document TradeScope alerts and their respective actions to remediate in precise detail for inexperienced level one support.

-          Proficient with FIX message types, components, session layers and business flows.

-          Participate in technical discussions amongst company teams related to the FIX software solution.

-          Participate in customer conference calls providing technical recommendations for specific implementation requirements.

-          Design and assist with load balancing of FIX engines amongst hardware infrastructure.

-          Share in providing third level support of the company's FIX infrastructure during both business and non-business hours.

-          Knowledge of and experience with a FIX engine's interaction with a MQ Series backend.

-          Extensive working knowledge of Appia HA clusters in multi-site environment via primary and host stand-by servers using manual and automatic fail-over options.

-          Experience with RedHat Linux and shell scripting (bash).

-          Knowledge and experience with firewall, VPN and data security implementations.

-          Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
