Job Title: Business Intelligence/Cognos Developer
Location: Lakeville MN (Only Locals)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
7+ years experience with food or consumer products company functional information systems applications, including business intelligence systems and data warehouse development, implementation, and maintenance.
5+ years experience in dimensional modeling, OLAP tools, building and maintaining complex reports using business intelligence applications such as Cognos Series 10, advanced knowledge of SQL in an Oracle context. Experience with Cognos 10 is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of data warehousing and OLAP methodologies, relational database concepts and multi-tier applications in a mixed-OS environment. Detailed knowledge of key business data models such as invoices, orders, inventory, manufacturing, promotions, forecasting, etc.
Skills: Very good technical, communications, and consulting skills. Very skilled at requirements definition, data and process modeling, and the use of modeling tools, relational databases, multi-tier web-based applications and Windows command environment. Must possess the ability to participate and contribute in a team environment. Has ability to give work direction to other IT resources. Has the ability to work with users of all levels to identify requirements and deliver timely results. Job candidate should possess sound judgment and decision making, and an appropriate sense of urgency.
