Job Title :  Oracle Apps DBA Manager
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6++ months
 
Rate: $60=65/HR Plus Expenses
 
The Oracle Apps DBA Manager is to lead the Oracle DBA team in the delivery of high quality business services and will be responsible for: Managing the team that maintains the Oracle Applications Databases and supporting tools for the R12 Financials implementation; Continue to institutionalize maintenance and implementation processes that are effective, efficient, and supported by visible metrics; Collaborate with other IT and Business groups to assist in the achievement of on-time delivery of services; Effectively manage the Oracle Applications DBA team to provide high quality services to the business, other supporting team, and all ongoing Oracle Application projects; Drive best practices related to the underlying Oracle Technology Stack & Oracle Applications database architecture with regard to E-Business Suite module schemas/products. Superior verbal and written communications skills including demonstrated documentation experience with ability to cross-train DBA team on Oracle ERP, Oracle FMW, OBIEE, Oracle GRC, Hyperion HFM and other Oracle 3rd solutions.
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Hands-on experience in Oracle Apps 11i & R12 DBA activities and PL/SQL and scripting.  Understanding of IT systems. Very strong experience in supporting Oracle E-Business Suite in Production environment.  Experience with Oracle Web Server, Oracle 10ias Application Server, Patch application, Concurrent Managers, Backup.  Experience on Oracle OBIEE and Oracle Fusion Middleware and Linux server admin.
Technical Skill Requirements
Technical Knowledge and Skills related to Oracle EBS suite R12 Database architecture.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of information processing principles and practices
Basic knowledge in core enterprise IT infrastructure
Basic technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems with emphasis on AIX, Oracle, and Microsoft products
Basic knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws as relevant to IT compliance
Application/Infrastructure Lifecycle
IT Security, Hardware Engineering and Support
Operating Systems Engineering and Support
IT Compliance
Network Infrastructure
 
OTHER
Experience managing high performing teams & Project Management skills
Experience working with Change Management processes and tools
10+ years related experience, at least 5 years in a management capacity with experience tracking and reporting relevant metrics (e.g., capacity, productivity, progress, quality)
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12
Public company experience with corporate IT governance and IT audit
Experience Managing an upgrade of Oracle Finance Applications & configuring Oracle Enterprise Manager for Active & Passive Environments
Previously built and developed teams to support an Oracle implementation
Develop process to maintain Oracle Applications patch levels and work with the business to maintain these levels and experience of infrastructure management
Candidate must be familiar with troubleshooting Java, Linux issues associated with rolling out/maintenance of Oracle Technology stack solutions.
Candidate will be responsible for building out ERP as expanded business requirements occur, including the skills to scale ERP globally as new international offices/users are added.
Experience with Installation/Maintenance of Oracle ERP R12, patching, and upgrading
Oracle Enterprise Linux, RedHat Linux and Windows skills are a must
Scripting skills in Perl and/or Powershell/ Unix Shell
Knowledge of ITIL practices
Demonstrable experience with change management processes and procedures
Architecture understanding of various EMC and NetApp Storage Solutions and SAN/disk replication products
Comfortable with SAN concepts, IO design and analysis
DR (disaster recovery) planning and testing
Forensic troubleshooting skills
Structured performance analysis and tuning
