Position: Sr. SQL DBA
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6-12 months
Minimum 10yaesr experience required.
Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:
Functional/Technical Skills:
• Be able to work with little or no supervision and provide directions to peers.
• Ability to write and present reports and interact with vendors and senior management.
• Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server 2000, 2005, & 2008 including:
• Debugging and performance tuning stored procedures, UDFs and triggers
• Index analysis
• Data normalization
• Various monitoring and tuning tools such as Profiler, Spotlight
• Advanced installation and configuration procedures
• Hardware, including clusters, RAID, multi-processor architecture, etc.
• Database replication
• VBScript and advanced DTS, SSIS package design
• Networking and how it relates to SQL Server connectivity
• Shell scripting (i.e. command line applications, batch files, etc.)
• Excellent understanding of Windows 2008 and Windows 2003
• Expert in SQL tuning, procedure tuning, SQL Server tuning and application tuning from a database prospective.
Experience:
• Ten plus years of experience in a large scale SQL 2005 ,2008 and 2012 environments.
• Advanced knowledge of multi-node clustered SQL environments.
- Knowledge of Architecting and configuring SQL environment for HA and DR
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 2000, 2003 and 2008 server.
· Education/Vocational Training:
• A four year degree in computer science or equivalent is desired
