Title: QA Tester with JD Edwards Experience
Location: Minneapolis | MN
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6-12 Months
Responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for testing enhancements/maintenance of existing products and new development efforts for two different product lines. For most projects this person will be the sole QA analyst/tester on the development team. The type of testing will vary depending on the project and the time frame - from manual ad hoc testing to structured methodological and/or automated testing. Objects of testing include all elements of client-server applications, web-based applications, and non-graphical Java applications. Heavy emphasis on server data load processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Analyze customer-reported software defects
· Adopt appropriate testing methods for the project at hand
· Design and execute integration and full regression test plans
· Maintain careful and complete documentation
· Maintain and enforce company-established software testing procedures
· Work closely with the development team to understand the requirements
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years' experience as a software QA Analyst
· Must have sound logical and analytical abilities
· Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
· Able to adjust priorities as needed to work on multiple incidents concurrently
· Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a dynamic environment
· Must have a strong background in manual (non-automated) testing
· Experienced with automated testing tools
· Good understanding of command scripts, primarily Windows and KSH
· Must have a good working knowledge of DBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata) ; ability to execute SQL scripts using database management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio and Oracle SQL Developer
