Key for this position : This is more of Production support guy. Person will be fixing bugs in Java server side programming and Oracle PL/SQL
Position Description: echnical background and 6+ years directly related web experience. Description: Acts as the highest-level technical expert on the development and implementation of highly complex, large-scale internet and intranet applications on diverse platforms, crossing multiple business lines. Uses expert knowledge of web technologies, including C++, Java, Java Script, HTML, CGI, XML, Perl, ASP, multimedia applications, database modeling tools and/or database interactions. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. Provides leadership in researching and tracking new web technologies, developing service applications, and analyzing business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems. Oversees system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards. Provides direc tion and guidance to less experienced staff.
Join the Payment Applications Support (PAS) team within the Internet Services Group as a Web Developer with prior production support and analytical experience. In this role, you will provide critical 4rth level support for the Money Movement Solutions (MMS) platforms including Bill Pay, Scheduled Transfers, Desktop Deposit, Direct Pay, Online Billing, Foreign Exchange and other highly prized applications moving funds for our customers. You will act as the Subject Matter Expert on the MMS platforms supporting all layers of the system/technology stack, immediately solve challenging production issues to preserve SLA and prevent customer impact, and propose functional improvements and enhancements to application process. You will provide training, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced staff, as well as assist the PAS group improve the service model, operations, and work flow.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively across technical and business organizations. Position requires after-hour support on a rotation basis.
Minimum Qualifications . Java development with J2EE exposure, XML, Web Services, JUnit, CGI, & EJB . At least 6 years experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL development . Advance understanding of Oracle RDBMS architecture . Advance level understanding and direct experience in Autosys, NDM, MQ Series products . Advance understanding and experience in server-side development (involving Java Servlets, JSP, JSTL, etc.) and one or more Java Application Frameworks (Struts, Spring, etc.) . Advance understanding and experience in technologies like XSLT, DHTML, CSS, Javascript . Expert level proficiency in object-oriented analysis and design methodologies, and design patterns . Expert level Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ant, CGI, Perl, & UNIX Shell Scripts .
Proficiency with developing unit test cases using JUnit, HTTPUnit or JWebUnit . Proficiency wit h source code management system e.g. Clearcase . Proficiency w ith IDEs /Tools like Eclipse or IntelliJ, TOAD, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Introscope . Proficiency in tuning application configuration and database statements . Proficiency with Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems . Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment . Prior experience working with both business and technical partners . Ability to learn mainstream programming languages . Expert level diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and experience . Strong English written and oral communication skills . BS or MS in computer science or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications . Experience with batch programming particularly bulk operations . Experience in C/C++/C#, JSP, ASP, VB, and VB Script . Experience with WebLogic Application Server . Experience with struts, axis and/or spring-ws and spring-ui framework . Experience mocking up sites in HTML . Experience in 7x24 production support . Experience in a help desk environment . Experience in developing and implementing SOA solutions . Experience with application builds and code merges . Experience with implementing nighlys for continuous testing . Experience in XPlanner, Cruise Control . Technical presentation skills.
