Knowledge:
Ø Strong knowledge of ETL concepts especially as applied to Informatica and SSIS.
Ø Strong knowledge of data analysis, data transformation, conceptual data modeling, data transformation and metadata management.
Ø Strong knowledge of data design for various applications.
Ø Good knowledge of SQL.
Ø Good knowledge of various RDBMS, Mainframe
Ø Good knowledge of Project Life Cycles methodologies.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Strong knowledge of Unix and Unix Shell scripting
Education and Experience: (Identify types and length of education and experience needed to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to accomplish the desired end results.)
Education: BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science or Information Management Systems.
Experience:
Total 9-10 yrs experience required
Ø 5 years + experience with Informatica.
Ø 3 years + shell scripting experience.
Ø 3 years + SQL query-writing experience.
Ø 1 year + experience with PowerCenter.
Ø Experience working with and able to demonstrate knowledge of complex Informatica transformations.
Ø Experience working with very large data sets in ETL projects.
Ø Experience working on UNIX platforms - AiX.
Ø Experience in ETL performance tuning /optimization;
Ø Experience with the Informatica command line utilities;
Ø Experience drafting ETL specifications;
Ø Experience developing complex ETL mappings;
Ø Track record communicating issues and follow-up through issue resolution;
