We are Tier one vendors to major pharmaceutical/financial companies and other fortune clients and for same we are searching forward to a Datastage Developer in Windsor,CT and NYC,NY.



Job Title: Datastage Developer



Technical/Functional Skills: 

  • The selected candidate must have expertise in data warehouse full life cycle approaches and concepts using DW best practices and procedures. 
  • He/she must be proficient using the DataStage ETL tool and in addition have technical expertise with Unix scripting and various Oracle tools (SQL, SQL*Loader, etc.).
  • Expertise with DataStage, QualityStage.
Roles and Responsibilities: 

                  -          Participate in a project team to design, develop and support new Data Warehouse datastores

-          Analyze business requirements, developing target-source data mappings and delivering ETL processes for end-user OLAP and reporting initiatives

-          Set-up and maintain load processes for Data Warehouse development, test, and modal environments

-          Manage the developing control processes for the migration of code through Development, Test, and Production environments

-          Designing/developing processes to automate, streamline, and monitor Data Warehouse load processes

                  -      Administer and support  DataStage system software on a Unix platform

Generic Managerial Skills: Good Communication skills

ETL Developer

We are currently seeking a  ETL Developer for one of our clients in Minneapolis, MN  . This is a GREAT opportunity to work for one of the Fortune 500 Companu in USA. We invite you to review the positions requirements below and apply today if your skills match our needs.

We are looking for a hands-on ETL who has specialized experience with BI technologies to design, develop, test, and tune ETL, reporting and related solutions as well as potentially maintain databases on DBA capacity. 

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: 
The candidate will... 
  1. Independently gather the requirements and ensure the feasibility of requirements 
  2. Design and develop ETL processes, test, deploy and quality assure the content 
  3. Own and support operational processes including documenting such processes where no documentations exist. 
  4. Work on SSIS configuration and trouble-shooting. 
  5. Participate in planning of development projects; 
  6. Participate in enhancing processes for ETL design, source code control, integration testing, defect management, database standardization and tuning. 

Qualifications & Education: 
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehouse best practices 
  • Strong database experience (incl. SQL, tuning, etc on SQL Server ) 
  • Independent, self-motivated team player 
  • Meticulous and methodical in creating solutions 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management, as well as both the business and technical communities
