POSITION
This position is for a Senior Java Developer who will work within the development group with a team of
developers in developing court case management applications in Java. This individual will report to the
Director of SW Engineering.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be a talented, self-directed and self-motivated individual with strong
technical skills and demonstrated verbal and written skills. The candidate must have superior
interpersonal skills and experience in working in a team based development environment. The successful
candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills on assigned responsibilities and tasks, and produce
high quality, testable and reliable code. Must be able to provide technical expertise and guidance of
database design to team members.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in
MIS, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years' experience in the IT industry working in the area of product and/or application
development
• 5+ years' experience in design/development of complex applications of J2EE/multi-
tiered based projects
• Good understanding of the key architecture considerations/issues associated with J2EE
application infrastructures
• Experience with software development lifecycle phases is required
• Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
• Experience with Web Services, XML, and WSDL
• Strong software engineering background (waterfall, RUP, XP, agile, iterative)
• Development experience on technologies such as ELL, EAI, BPM tools or ESB
platforms
• Experience with UML and use case definition
• Experience with Open-Source Technologies, a plus (e.g., Tapestry, Jakarta Commons,
Wicket, Restlet, Struts, JSTL, JUnit, Eclipse)
• Strong knowledge in each of the following:
o Java Servlets
o EJB, JMS, JDBC,
o Java Script/Prototype
o CSS, DHTML, AJAX, ANT
o Real Application Clusters (RAC)
o SQL, PL/SQL
o RedHat Linux, Windows
o CVS or Subversion
o Working knowledge of government systems is a plus
