Hi,
Our client is looking for ETL/SQL Developer - Los Angeles, CA. This is a 3 to 4 months contract position. The Hourly rate and Salary range is DOE.
As a Data Analyst/SQL Developer, you will utilize strong ETL and SQL skills to extract, transform, and migrate data from one system platform to another. You will also participate in devising project timelines, implementing design specifications, documentation, testing and ongoing support of business systems. The position also entails participating, developing and maintaining operational and system level documentation. The ideal candidate must have strong SQL & MYSQL skills, as well as a proficiency in Excel. In addition, the ideal candidate should have the ability to gather, compile, and analyze data as well as the ability to plan, design, develop and test code. Strong communication skills are required as the position will interact with business owners. Familiarity with ETL in general and Pentaho specifically is desired. Experience with programming or scripting languages such as VB, PHP, and/or PERL is a plus. Experience using Omniture is a huge plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
Support Sales, Marketing and Business Analysts, Product Managers and Executive Management with ETL and report setup.
Additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by Company and the Executive team
QUALIFICATIONS
Self starter and able to work independently
Experience with reporting applications and developing reports
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to produce Omniture Reports
Interact with users to understand the scope and the particulars of their requests for bug fixes and enhancements
Data analysis, data modeling process, modeling and system development life cycle methodologies background
Project management skills
Ability to cope with ambiguity and frequently changing priorities
Team player; ability to facilitate resolution of issues/changing priorities/ find alternative solutions
Work well with upper levels
Excellent written and communication skills
Must work well in a team environment
SPECIAL SKILLS
2 years experience with SQL Database Management System, relational and objected oriented data
Some Oracle experience is a plus
Strong Excel skills; 3-5 years experience
Excel VBA a plus but not required
