Wireless Engineer
The Wireless Network Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that industry best practices and methodologies are applied to a network project involving wireless network services. The engineer will responsible for the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of wireless and networking technologies. This Engineer will also analyze and provide recommendations in the resolution of wireless network problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The Wireless Network Engineer will be designing, deploying, configuring and troubleshooting Wireless LAN products and devices using the following:
Ø Wireless Access Points
Ø Wireless Client Association
Ø Wireless Controllers
Ø CSMA/CA, RTS, CTS protocols
Ø RF transmission
Ø 802.11 trunking
Ø IEEE 802.11 standards
Ø Wireless Sniffers
Ø WLSM, WiSM, WCS
Ø Ether channel
Ø Must have 3-5 years of solid Wireless experience.
Qualification Needed:
Ø CCNP with minimum 5 years networking experience
Ø Cisco Wireless Design experience
Ø Cisco Wireless Controller based deployment experience
Ø Campus network experience
Ø RF Assessments and Design experience
Ø Indoor & Outdoor Wireless Solutions
Ø Strong skills in Wireless technology like LWAP, EAP and hands on experience on Cisco wireless controller
Ø Process oriented, good understanding of Change control and ticketing system ( REMEDY)
Ø Strong knowledge of Cisco Wireless controllers, Access points, Cisco 6500s and 3560 and 3750 access layer switches.
Ø Experience with legacy Cat OS and older switches
