Key Responsibilities:
o Code Review before of PLSQL projects go into the production phase.
Some of the code is generated by the ETL/Informatica team and other groups and needs to be reviewed before release.§
o Trouble shooting when business users come back with concerns about why certain reports aren't working.
o Person must be able to work with a PLSQL developer to correct or re-write the code to fix errors or improve efficiency.
o In some cases this person might have to do the hands on coding to correct or re-write the code themselves.
Description:
The Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for eliciting requirements; designing dimensional data models; preparing written design documents; developing extract/transform/load routines using PL/SQL; performing intensive data analysis; and migrating releases into testing and production environments.
In addition, the Data Warehouse Developer performs non-development work to include monitoring scheduled jobs; reviewing the results to determine success/failure; documenting success/failure; troubleshooting failures; providing up-to-date communication with the user community; and maintaining documentations
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in data warehousing and business intelligence project work
• Minimum of 4 yrs exp.
• Requirements elicitation and analysis experience
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities and multitasking capabilities
• Ability to perform well in a high pressure, time-sensitive environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to understand and document business processes
• Demonstrated ability to work within an established timeframe to complete tasks
• Strong organizational skills
