Work Location: Mountain View, CA
Position Type : Full Time Permanent Position
Salary/Annum : Market
Onshore Senior SME - Teradata – SPE or EXP category.
Experience Required:
Experience in conversion and integration teams for application projects. Has experience in data analysis, data mapping, data conversion with or without ETL tools.
Has experience leading data cleansing activities and system integration activities.
Must have both strong technical foundation as well as experience in business analysis, group facilitation, software analysis, design and development.
Specific skills include:
• Excellent client communication and relationship skills a must
• Managing in a multi-vendor environment
• ETL tool experience a plus
• Experience leading:
o Database operations and Administration
o System Administration
o Security Administration
Backup and Restore (BAR) environment administration
o Performance and Capacity Management :Performance tool Operational support
Performance & Capacity: Teradata metrics collection and reporting
Performance & Capacity: Teradata database day-to-day operational performance best-practices and tuning
Teradata Dtatabase Optimization and Workload Management
o Requirements gathering, definition and documentation
o Systems integration (including access to legacy systems)
o Creating client deliverables
o Developing and managing scheduled team tasks
o Issue management and resolution
Release Management: Production Readiness Assessment
Release Management: Promotion from Pre-prod/QA to Production
Release Management: Post-production Validation and Response
Disaster recovery
System Expansion - New Releases, Hardware upgrades, Patches, Installation
Critical Issues with Teradata Hardware/DB, Fixes, etc
Teradata Product Benchmarking
