Oracle DBA
Location: Irving, TX
Duration: 12 months
Five Contractor Resource - Manage, deploy and install Oracle databases on RAC and non-RAC hardware (AIX, Linux). Database performance and tuning, problem resolution, SR creation and working with the vendor. Perform day-to-day system support, upgrading and new project planning and implementation with the following responsibilities:
o Oracle database build using ASM on RAC/non-RAC
o Oracle database upgrades, patching
o Working with the client team for problem resolution
o Database performance and tuning
o Database performance monitoring
o Database backup and recovery using RMAN.
o Developing andmaintaining standards (SOE) and comply with company's Audit requirements
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
o 5+ Years production Oracle Database Administration experience
o Oracle 11G installation on enterprise systems (AIX, Linux) RAC/Non-RAC
o Oracle ASM
o Must have experience with Dataguard, RMAN
o Must have experience in Performance and Tuning
o Must have experience in Database problem resolution, dealing with Oracle, creation of SR's.
o Database patching, upgrades, maintenance
o Unix Shell Scripting
o Strong SQL skills
NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS:
o Smooth verbal and written skills in English.
o Basic project management skills.
Ability to operate in a high pressure, date driven environment
