Title: QA Engineer
Location: Sanjose, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Requirements:
· High curiosity and passion for solving problems.
· Sound knowledge of software engineering principles.
· Any Cloud testing experience and basic of understanding of Cloud (IaaS, PaaS)
· Ability to communicate effectively with peers and superiors and work in an agile development environment by both leading and following depending on need.
· Flexibility to move between tasks. Work under tight schedules and uncertainty and to achieve results with little supervision or direction.
· Hands-on programming, test automation development experience using Java or C/C++, SQL, XML and other technologies.
· Scripting experience in one of Perl, PHP, Python
· Strong hands-on experience with web services test automation(SOAP, REST) using Java and knowledge of TDD/BDD frameworks
· Work closely with developers on the code/design reviews and specification of features.
· Strong experience with Continuous Integration methodologies (unit testing/code coverage/mocking) and building automated tests to integrate into CI Process using Hudson/Jenkins.
· Driving test automation with the focus on breaking software with Fault injection, Negative testing at component level and integration level
· Code and develop tools, frameworks and comprehensive test suites (Positive/Negative/Fault injection/Performance) that will test and emulate scenarios for existing and new feature changes and critically think about how consumers will interact with the software being tested and turn those thoughts into bugs, action items, and avenues of discussion.
· Create testing harness/infrastructure /test cases geared towards ensuring quality and performance is engineered right into the product and not as an after-thought
· Experience in any code coverage tools like Emma/Cobertura and Static analysis (Find bugs/PMD)
· Experience in Performance testing using tools such as Jmeter, Silk performer and other load testing tools
· Relational database experience - Oracle and MySQL preferred.
Basic Qualifications
· BS/BA in CS or related field, Masters/PhD CS desirable
· At least 6-7 years of experience in software development or quality engineering in NT or UNIX environments
· Sound knowledge of Java and other programming languages
· Knowledge of Java EE and application servers such as Tomcat, Geronimo and Web Sphere
