Job Description & Skills:

 

Project Overview:  This role is required to establish workforce management practice and collaborate with others on achieving standardization of resource management practices.  In this capacity this role will require a highly analytical and self-directed individual that will establish and/or utilize available workforce mix metrics to establish procedures, derive conclusions and assist with a multitude of activities required of our organization's transformation into a professional services entity.

 

Required Skills/ Experience

 

1)            Minimum seven (7) years in Human Resources, Business Administration, Employee Data Management or Workforce Capacity Planning and Management. Prior IT and business work experience in a large Global IT organization strongly preferred. Experience working in a virtual, remote IT environment strongly preferred

2)            Extensive workforce administration and HR Operation experience, including employee life-cycle, employee data and data structure, reorganizations, acquisitions, and diversities

3)            Experience in producing high-quality deliverables in a matrixed organization.  Specifically, where the quality of the work is dependent on others.

4)            Strong background in global outsourced environments

•             Ability to align team member skills and strengths with project tasks

 

 

Daily Responsibilities: 

 

•             Develop and manage workforce management practices, i.e. resource utilization, forecasting, gap analysis, capacity planning to support organizational resource needs for various projects and initiatives

•             Create and maintain scenario-based models for resource utilization analysis and forecasting

•             Monitor existing resource utilization, conduct scenario-based analysis and make recommendation on balancing the resource usage based on a limited pool of supply and revising utilization based on business priority, urgency and criticality of a project

•             Work closely with Program, Portfolio and Project Managers and assist in providing resource availability /allocation information and make recommendation on resource assignments and adjustments

•             Develop a sustainable tool kit and engagement model to help organizational leaders and senior management better plan for their staffing needs 2-5 quarters out.

•             Develop detailed hiring plan by simulating the impacts and recommend appropriate staffing actions for the organization

•             Analyze, monitor and report on all staffing assumptions such as headcount requirements, attrition and provide recommendations to organization leaders and senior management

•             Interpret and analyze resource usage data and provide reports to management to maximize the effectiveness of resource usage and proactively plan to meet or adjust based on incoming demands of projects and initiatives

•             Partner with HR and adhere to workforce hiring/management practices, ensuring that related actions are fully consulted with legal and compensation departments

•             Partner with HR and benchmark workforce allocation and utilization that are comparable with external market in similar setting as I&TG

•             Understand current workforce administration regulations and ensure internal teams follow compliance standards

•             Accountable for achieving cost efficiencies and minimizing staffing supply risk to the organization

•             Inventory various workforce planning projects completed and consolidate lesson learned

•             Collaborate with HR to identify all needed HR data

•             Seek ways to build trust, understanding, and credibility as the key ingredients in building meaningful relationships and adding value with business partners.

•             Maintain up-to-date workforce management knowledge by demonstrating strong motivation in continuous learning of latest methodologies and applications in improving workforce management practice.

•             Mentor/coach internal clients in performing team/unit workforce needs analysis.

•             Develop draft job descriptions, facilitate discussion and solicit input from hiring management and incorporate/update changes into job descriptions
