The successful candidate will be part of a team that administers the corporate UNIX infrastructure which consists of Solaris/AIXI LINUX servers in a 24x7 highly available data center environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strong knowledge of Veritas products families required - Foundation Suite, VCS, VVR-minimal levels of 5.0+ required.

Solaris 10 skills sets required - experience level needs to be high. The candidate needs to be completely familiar with ZFS/ZoninglJumpstarting as well as performance tuning and monitoring and all other Solaris 10 capacities.

Strong DTRACE and performance analyzing skills.

Excellent project management, documentation, and peer communication skills required.

Requirements:

This position requires 4+ years experience with strong Solaris 10 background, and in depth :

Veritas skill sets- SF Foundation (5.0), HA(5.0) VCS/RAC (5.0), WR (5.0)

Linux (RH 5.5+/ SUSE SLES 9+) AIX 5.3+ beneficial

Strong day to day exoerience in UNIX skill sets of NFS/NIS/DNS required. Proficiency in Perl and shell scripting is essential. Network troubleshooting skills are a plus.

The candidate will be handling multiple critical projects simultaneously in a fast paced and demanding environment. Weekend implementations are part of the work duties as well as being part of a rotating 24/7 pager support team.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related preferred. Master's degree advantangeous.
