ITJOB-ALERT Need SAP PS resource

Need SAP PS resource for direct client position.

REQ INFORMATION: Project System Support

 

PROJECT:

This position will include a collection of different projects and initiatives within the Project Systems space.  The immediate need is to get a person who has a lot of knowledge and experience in how SAP works; including configuration, ABAP, integration within the Project Systems module, and solution development.  The focus is really more on the Project Management and Earned Value capabilities of SAP-PS rather than the CO accounting space.  I would also like this person to help us analyze our current solutions and help streamline or improve the performance/supportability.  This could turn into a contract to hire situation. Some of the work can be done remotely. 

 

Most of the current PS team consists of business process focused people.  Those resources will focus on requirements and customer interface.  This resource would be the technical expert who spends most of their time in SAP doing design & development, and technical support.

 

POSITION:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

-       Current solution evaluation

-       Performance improvement suggestions

-       Technical support of issues

-       Knowledge transfer on SAP-Project Systems functionality

-       Help evaluate new potential EVMS solutions

-       Provide technical guidance/expertise on new solution proposals

-       System design and development

 

REQUIRED:

Required skills:

-       SAP Project Systems experience (configuration, solution design, ABAP understanding)

-       SAP-PS integration points (MM/PP, SD, FI-CO)

-       PS reporting experience

-       PS technical trouble-shooting experience

-       Great experience/expertise with mentoring other team-members

 

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

Helpful skills:

-       Earned Value Management System experience

-       Government reporting requirements

-       Other EVMS tools experience, such as Winsight

-       GPD (grouping, pegging and distribution) solution

-       Materials Management (components) understanding

-       MS Project Server or Primavera integration with SAP-PS
