SAP Basis Administrator

This is to fill in for someone while they are on medical leave. .

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of a highly available SAP installation. The individual will be providing 24 x 7 on-call support.

Experience with SAP running on UNIX platforms

Experience with SAP Security a plus\

Familiarity with Oracle a plus

SAP installation, configuration, or upgrade experience a plus

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Key responsibilities include:

· Monitor SAP Netweaver components running on 4 P6/AIX application servers and 70 Citrix servers to insure availability and proactively manage.

· Manage and perform kernel upgrades on an as needed basis.

· Manage client copies and client administration.

· Proactive performance tuning & risk mitigation.

· Make recommendations for new best practices and perform implementations.

· Manage and make decisions based on experience on SAP transporting and STMS configuration.

· Rapid & courteous support.

· Familiarity with job scheduling.

· Manage and create security configurations for 1500+ users.

· Must maintain a good attendance record.

-Large enterprise IT implementation experience in a matrixed delivery organization

-Information Security delivery (nice to have)

- Largely private sector experience

- Less PMO experience (as this is not a program manager position)

-Able to operate autonomously with little direction leveraging project delivery experience and lifecycle.

-Able to grasp IT concepts as they pertain to the solution being implemented to able to schedule and tactically drive project activities.

-Understanding of IT implementation to enable communication with project team.

-Confident strong presence running meetings and interacting with project team.

-Savvy with MS Suite of applications including Project, Excel and Visio.

-Experience with the Clarity Enterprise Online project management tool (nice to have)

· Interacts with analysts and end users to analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot problems.

· Prepares and delivers recommendations to resolve problems.

· Managing end user and application support after work hours if needed.

· Performs unit testing on application development enhancements to ensure quality and completeness.

· Design, code, and test program modules that meet design specifications and are well documented meeting all development standards

· Create, execute and document the tests necessary to ensure that an application meets functional specifications and performance requirements

· Maintain, tune and repair applications in order to keep them performing according to technical and functional specifications
