JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Houston, TX

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Architecting and implementing high quality, scalable, and extendible SharePoint solutions using company approved tools such as SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio. Awareness of migration and implementation plans that address both tactical and strategic needs.
• Will design and potentially implement site taxonomy, metadata management, workflows, forms, and custom web parts.
• Oversees coding, testing, and the implementation of solutions in a SharePoint environment. Taking direction from management in implementing solutions. Evaluate and prioritize tasks as they relate to program delivery.
• Analyze technologies, technical processes, and/or functions, document findings, identify areas for improvement and create specifications and implement.
• Mentor other team members on new and existing technologies and help guide SharePoint development process.
• Provide architectural documentation that illustrates key decisions made on projects.

Technology Platforms:
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 and 2010, Windows SharePoint Services (WSS), Windows Server, SQL Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008, C# or Visual Basic, BizTalk, .NET

Hands on expertise with Enterprise Level implementation of MOSS 2007:
• Shared Service Providers
• Enterprise Search
• Business Data Catalog
• Single Sign On
• Performance Point
• InfoPath Forms Server

Requirements for Consideration:

1. 10+ years experience doing object-oriented software development in a Fortune 500 company.
2. 5+ years experience developing and architecting complete websites, applications, workflows, and business processes in a SharePoint environment.
3. 5+ years as a SharePoint developer creating workflows, forms and sites with Windows SharePoint Services, MOSS, MS-Office tools, .NET, Visual Studio, SQL-Server.
4. B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, or related experience.

PERSONAL SKILLS:

Possess a strong work ethic, self-starter, creative, a focus on customer service, possess a high level of energy, enthusiasm, have strong oral and written communication and people skills, team player, strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, commitment and appreciate the application of technology in support of BCBS business.

Additional Preferred Skills/Background:
• Experience with data-warehousing concepts and development
• Regional candidates preferred, but will consider those outside the area

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Note: Face to Face may be required

The Oracle Applications Developer will provide design and development expertise to customize the existing Oracle EBS application modules such as OM, IB, SC, QP, AR.
The developer should have strong PL/SQL, SQL skills, sound knowledge of Oracle applications architecture, experienced with developing interfaces, extensions.
Knowledge of Oracle forms, reports development, Discoverer, XML/BI publisher is a plus. Mush have at least 8 years of hands-on Oracle EBS applications implementation/ support experience.

The developer also provides support of production applications by trouble shooting issues, and developing, testing and migration of solutions.
Has a strong understanding of the business processes and application functionality relevant to their area as well as an understanding of related applications in adjacent areas.
Will be required to author technical design of functional specifications and progress the solution from design though the software development life-cycle to implementation.
Has a strong understanding of, and ensures adherence to, the IT processes and standards required.
The Application Developer will also be expected to be effective in both a team environment as well as working independently.
Expected to show keen interest in learning new applications and tools.
Create and maintain database storage structures and objects.
Provides production support of applications in production by trouble shooting issues, proposing solutions, develops and tests fixes, and migrates solution.
Develops and unit tests application programs as specified in Technical Designs.
Obtains code reviews from Senior Application Developer.
Ensures that all programming standards and policies are adhered to.
Obtains Technical Designs and Unit Test plan reviews from Senior Application Developer. May perform Tech Designs and Unit Test plan reviews of other developers.
Develops Unit Test Plans to test programs.
Ensures that standards and policies are adhered to.
Authors Technical Designs (TDs) that define how a functional design will be technically enabled.
Develops and maintains applications for business processes and systems.
