Job Title: Business Objects XI Consultant

Duration: 6+ Months

Max Rate: $58-60/hr on C2C all inclusive

SUMMARY

The BO consultant should be a solid hands-on Business Objects technical expert and should be able to build, update and support BO reports and universes. The BO consultant should be able to maintain the BO XI 3.x and 4.x environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Responsible for building, maintaining and updating BO reports, universes and Bracco's custom application built using Dashboard builder.

Responsible for designing, building, testing and implementation of BO XI reporting and analytic solution.

Responsible for designing, building and updating business users' ad-hoc reports.

Responsible for administrating & maintaining local and global BO XI 3.x and 4.x environments.

Responsible for Installation and configuration of Business Objects XI 3.x and 4.x.

Responsible for supporting reporting month-end and week-end processes.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Seasoned developer with overall 5 - 8 years of Information Services experience.

Hands on top class senior BO developer with 4 - 6 years of experience working with Business Objects software.

In depth knowledge of Business Objects is a must.

Experience in building reporting packages using BO Analysis a plus.

Experience in updating BW/BEx queries a plus.

Experience in SAP BI Dashboard Builder/Manager.

Experience with SAP BW Query Designer a plus.

Experience with SAP NetWeaver BW/BI a plus.

Experience with Xcelsius a plus.

BO XI 3.x to 4.x upgrade experience a plus.

Proven experience in designing and implementing Business Intelligence solutions.

Strong database design and SQL programming skills a plus.

Experience with Oracle DBMS (or other RDBMS) a plus.

Pharmaceutical and/or healthcare business applications experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent work experience.

The Business Intelligence (BI) consultant should be a solid hands-on Business Objects and BW technical expert and should be able to build, update and support all kinds of reports going against SAP BW, BEx queries and BO Universes.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintains expertise as a SME in two or more web architecture technical disciplines and defines architectural standards and best practices within those disciplines.

· Interacts with Senior management to effect solutions for enterprise business requirements

· Prepares and maintains documents that include architecture diagrams, data models, and navigation maps in area of expertise

· Analyse and prepare recommendations to address existing and potential trouble areas in systems and procedures across the organization as well as design and recommendation on new solutions both in relation to hardware and software design.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide direct technical evaluation of third party products for inclusion in solutions. Help define software development processes

· Understands the business processes on projects assigned

· Translates business requirements into technical requirements and assist other team members in implementing the solution

Position Requirements

Functional/Technical Skills:

· Experience in B2C and B2B online e-commerce systems architecture and design, preferably with background in IBM WebSphere Commerce.

· Experience in web experience management technologies included but not limited to self-services, content management, search, analytics, and marketing automation preferably with knowledge in Adobe CQ5.

· Experience in architecture and design of mobile web applications included responsive design and hybrid model for device native applications.

· Knowledgeable about Wireless telephony business processes, strategic technologies and industry best practices.

· Strong analytic and problem solving skills.

· Strong understanding of software development methodologies

· Competent in two or more of the following technical disciplines:

· Expert Knowledge of Object Oriented Languages & Concepts; Java required

· Expert Knowledge of ecommerce platforms; n-Tier required, IBM desired

· Expert Knowledge of Middleware and SOA Technologies

· Expert Knowledge of Presentation tier technologies: web portal required.

· Expert Knowledge of systems Security technology.

· Expert Knowledge of Business Process Management technologies

Experience:

· Minimum 8+ years in business environment

· Minimum 8+ years as software or systems architect, engineer, programmer

Education/Vocational Training:
