Responsibilities
Active participation on Scrum Teams as a software quality assurance engineer and be responsible including testing strategy, analysis, coding, results evaluation, and proposed corrective actions
Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with quality assurance guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.
Proactively provides overall software quality perspective to pan-organization sprint teams
Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced contract staff members from your company.
Education and Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
Minimum 3 years' experience
Knowledge and Skills
Experience testing enterprise level solutions
Experience with multiple software quality assurance tools and processes.
The ability to use QTP, Soap UI, Selenium, etc. to be able to generate and run test automation is desired.
Experience managing and tracking defects in HP ALM or a similar tool
Proven ability of evaluating and propose software tests, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
Able to understand overall architecture and software design for products and solutions in order to efficiently and effectively design, run, and rout cause the issue
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English. Ability to effectively communicate test approaches, test designs, test results to fellow QA engineers and development managers.
A working knowledge of Windows Server platforms, Oracle dB, MSSQL, RHEL / Linux, VMware vCenter
Experience with virtualization, QA hardware lab management, application deployment, and cloud system providers such as Openstack, Amazon EC2 is a plus.
Knowledge with installation and system integration testing preferred.
Ability to learn fast with minimal guidance.

Job Description:
Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as co-ordinate with cross functional test teams.
Run tests on new OS/Software/application to ensure that systems meet functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
Must be able to self-direct test activities in a Scrum/Agile environment. He or she will participate in daily standup meetings and provide tangible, measurable deliverables to demonstrate progress.
Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
Participates in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, system and stress/load/performance testing
Ability to automate testing using scripting languages as appropriate (i.e. Perl Shell, python, XML, and/or other programming language)
Position Requirement
Minimum 8 years of experience in QA and software testing.
Testing experience on Windows and Linux is a must have.
2+ years of experience in leading a small to medium size QA team.
Demonstrated ability to work well with programmers and end users in an agile cross functional team.
Experience conducting QA/testing of multiple software projects simultaneously
Working knowledge on Xen or HyperV is a strong plus
Experienced in one programming or scripting languages: Perl, Python, Javascript or others a plus

Senior Quality Engineer - Embedded Devices
Job Description:
Client is looking for an experienced quality engineer who is very passionate about quality and is a very strong and vocal customer advocate. You will own all aspects of getting a feature area fully tested and shipped to the customers.
Will be creating test plans, documenting test cases, integrating with program management and the developers to ensure your coverage remains effective as the product evolves, you'll log and manage your bugs, and in general be a very vocal advocate for a high quality bar.
Your testing collateral should be clearly documented such that other less experienced testers can successfully consume and execute the plans / cases.
Your testing efforts will be supplemented with junior engineers who will execute the typical repetitive daily testing activities in order to free you up for deeper more advanced testing activities. As a result, previous experience managing, coaching or mentoring people is desired.
You will not be focused on writing automation or scripts, but you should know how to do so and be able to speak to how a tool, automation, or product code could
be changed to provide a better customer experience, or to enable your testing efforts to get deeper into the codebase, or to minimize repetitive activities. You must
be able to concisely and clearly communicate your thoughts and know how to effectively drive a conversation with designers or developers to the conclusion you
want as a customer advocate.
You'll be working on a Linux based WebOS embedded platform. Previous experience testing embedded devices (TV's, STB's, cell phones, GPS's, Camera's,
gaming consoles, etc.) using platforms such as Android, iOS or Windows CE is strongly desired. We're also using an agile development approach - past
experience operating in an agile environment will help.
Desired Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience testing consumer facing products.
Strong instincts testing instincts and persistence to always pursue an issue to conclusion.
Strong understanding of test methodologies (functional, e2e, negative, performance, stress, scale, functional, unit, code coverage, static analysis, etc.).
Past experience with embedded devices (such as Android, iPhone, STB's, gaming consoles, etc.).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate and work with geographically disparate teams.
Moderate understanding of a high-level programming language (such as C/C++, Java or C#) or scripting languages (such as Perl or Python).
Strong knowledge of agile development approaches.
