Work Location : Woonsocket, RI
Relevant Experience (Yrs) : 8 years
Technical/Functional Skills :
* Administer WebLogic servers and tune for optimal performance.
* Configure WebLogic servers/JMS/JDBC
* Assist in Performance Testing and create WLST & UNIX scripts as needed.
* Automate the administration of the application run-time environment where possible.
* Provide direction to application development teams in the WebLogic application server futures.
* Evaluate runtime WebLogic Server stats and advise team for appropriate action.
* Provides timely and accurate on-call support for production infrastructure components.
* Horizontally scale the environment and apply WebLogic patches as needed.
* Create proactive monitors to find the performance bottlenecks and advise team for corrective action.
* Ability to quickly grasp and learn new technologies and tools is essential to this position
* Support multiple environments
* In-depth knowledge on Oracle RAC
* In-depth knowledge of WLST scripting & UNIX environment.
* Korn shell programming is required; Perl programming a plus.
* Leadership skills to work with multiple support and application teams.
* Must display willingness to accept responsibility, take initiative, use good judgment, and maintain a positive attitude.
* Must be able to act decisively and promptly while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
* Regular attendance is key to performing the job.
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Experience Required : At least 5 years experience.
