Need Backup Admin

Location: Georgetown, KY

Duration: 12 Months    

Skills:

·        Experience installing, upgrading and patching Netbackup servers and clients.

·        Thorough understanding of Netbackup and its components (Vault, Database Agents, etc).

·        Thorough understanding of backup and vault policy configuration.

·        Experience with SUN/STK tape libraries and LTO2-4 tape drives.

·        Experience with Data Domain or Sepaton disk based backup targets.

·        Extensive backup failure troubleshooting abilities.

·        Experience with IBM Domino, RMAN, and NDMP (NAS) based backups.

·        Experience working tickets through Symantec support.

·        Basic knowledge of VI text editor and UNIX operating systems.

·        Basic scripting abilities (KSH, CSH, BSH, DOS Batch, etc.)

·        Experience with Backup Reporter/Ops Center preferred but not required.

·        Experience with TSM backup software is a plus!

Must also have:

·        Strong written and verbal communications skills required.

·        Strong project management skills required (status reporting, change management, etc).

·        24 x 7 on call support is required.

·        Some weekend work and travel may be required..
