Need Senior Web  Tester

Location: AUSTIN, TX

Duration: 6 Months

 

Skills:

• Web based manual testing
• Some functional, automated testing preferred (it's optional, though but would be a plus)
• Writing SQL queries and understanding database ERDs (Entity Relationship Diagrams)
• Writing test cases, executing test cases
• Use of Quality Center (short term)
• Use of Team Foundation Server 2008 or 2010 – or any experience with Microsoft Test Manager (optional because this is new for most people)
• Basics of configuration, deployment, and restore of OS images (Optional as this is gets into the domain knowledge and we can train)
• Basics of virtualization or have worked with Virtual Machines (optional – part of domain knowledge)
• Experienced test engineer in writing, executing test cases, understand test metrics, and would have to have solid written and verbal communication skills
• Possesses and applies knowledge of IT principles and practices.
• Applies knowledge to analyze and develop solutions to highly complex problems.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.
• Varied knowledge of database, development, system engineering, and networking concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of testing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large projects or offer highly complex testing solutions.
• Advanced understanding of CMM guidelines.
• Expert diagnostic and problem solving skills.
