Position: Sr. Oracle DBA

Location: NJ/NY

Duration: 6+ months

Locals or nearby Face to face must

 

Responsible to deliver project under SDLC frame-work from kick-off to closure.

• Work closely with Project Manager to give input during planning phase, help create WBS in the role of database SME, co-ordinate resources during execution phase and ensure successful project roll-out.
• Should be able to do efficient Architectural review, DB Capacity and scalability planning for Infrastructure project like R12 or 11g.
• Should be able to work with off-shore team for project execution and take end-to-end accountability for services delivery.
• Take lead in identifying, detecting and preventing technical issues and efficiently work with management on remediation plan.
• Extensive experience as Oracle DBA up to version 11g. In-depth understanding of RAC, AWR reports and DB Administration.
• Extensive experience in R12 upgrade and Demantra Installation is a must.
• Extensive experience in addressing upgrade related issues and fine tuning the upgrade process to minimize the production outage.
• Very strong in Documentation.
• Experience in DB Performance tuning and stress testing tools like load-runner, Compuware or RAT (Real Application testing)
• Experience supporting  mission-critical system and ensuring 7x24 availability of production system.
• Work with Quality to ensure proper change-control. Experience in FDA regulated environment and CSV documentation is preferred.
