Duration: 10 Months Contract
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
Job Description:
Duties will include: - Resolving on-site employee requests - Assisting in data modeling and design - Developing and testing of high quality, reliable, efficient code - Ability to meet deadlines.
Desired Experience: - Bachelors degree or better in a technical field (experience can supersede degree requirement)
- Two years experience in Object Oiented software development
- Two years experience with VB.NET development
- Two years experience with ASP.NET development - Experience with VB.Net 2010 a plus
- Two years experience with SQL Server 2000+ development
- Two years experience with HTML and JavaScript
- One year experience using XML and XSLT
- Experience with data modeling and application design
- Experience working in a team environment
- Experience in the financial or banking industry is also a plus, but not required.
A successful candidate for this position must be able to function independently without close supervision.
We need someone that can hit the ground running without handholding. We are looking for a professional that can be proactive instead of reactive, paying attention to the small details in order to head off potential problems. Candidates should be literate in Microsoft and Web technologies and familiar with formal development processes. Qualified candidates will have experience as a VB programmer familiar with .NET development, experience with database applications (SQL preferred) and demonstrate an understanding of XML. Hours are "normal" working hours, with occasional projects that require after-hours work. Very little if any travel will be required.
