Job Title   :  Sr. J2EE Developer (Subject Matter Expert)
Location   :  Detroit MI
Duration  :  Long Term

Environment:
Sun Java System Web Server version 7 or later
Oracle 11g database
Unix OS

 

Required Skills:
Java Enterprise(JavaEE) technology stack.
Test-driven(using JUnit preferably or similar tool) and iterative method of development.
IDE: Eclipse IDE or NetBeans
Framework: JSF 2.x
Expertise in SQL, Stored Procedures and other database objects/concepts in Oracle 11g
Required to provide good documentation in the codebase as well as about the system in general to help with end-user-training
Java Persistence and JNDI for database connectivity
GUI development: JavaScript, HTML, AJAX etc.
 iText or similar for PDF-generation
Java-based reporting tool
Logging mechanism such as Log4J, Logback etc.
Ant for build tasks
Familiarity with MS-Access and VBA to understand the existing solution in production
Familiarity with version control systems such as Subversion
Experience with web/application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss or Sun Java System Web server
Good knowledge of the complete software development life cycle - analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, user-training

and production support
Ability to function in an independent, self-directed manner as well as a member of a team

 

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with dependency management tools such as Maven, Ivy etc.
JavaScript frameworks such as jQuerry, Prototype.js etc.
Apache POI for MS-Office-compatible file-format generation
UML
