JOB DESCRIPTION   

This is a SW development position for the eDAQ Armada program.  This contract position is needed to accelerate the change in the web server design.  The change from Java Script to GWT has prompted support for this area.  The internal team does not have the experience with GWT and an expert in this area is expected to reduce the ramp time of the conversion and train the internal staff.   The Armada project had planned for the use of contractors so this is a budgeted position in the master plan. 

 

This contractor will:

1.         Set up the GWT build environment and the IDE development environment. 

2.         Train personnel on the use and pitfalls of GWT.

3.         Convert and/or specify alternate tool usage to create equivalent functionality (like Slick Grid)

4.         Create binding to reuse as much of the current SW as reasonable.

5.         Develop, document and test code

 

RESPONSIBILITIES and QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have worked with and proficient using GWT 2.0 or higher.

Experience in migrating Java Scrip to GWT necessary

Must have excellent understanding of Web servers and back end functions

Must have Linux Background

 

The candidate must have working knowledge of the following technologies:

 

Java                                              HTML                               JSON    

Java Script                                   jQuery                              Ajax

 

Git repository usage a plus.

Lua scripting experience a plus.
