Business Analyst

Location: Hoffman Estates, IL

Duration: Approximately 16 weeks

Start Date: 11/14/11

 

 

Job Description & Skills:

 

Project Overview:  This role is required to establish workforce management practice and collaborate with others on achieving standardization of resource management practices.  In this capacity this role will require a highly analytical and self-directed individual that will establish and/or utilize available workforce mix metrics to establish procedures, derive conclusions and assist with a multitude of activities required of our organization's transformation into a professional services entity.

 

Required Skills/ Experience

1)            Minimum seven (7) years in Human Resources, Business Administration, Employee Data Management or Workforce Capacity Planning and Management. Prior IT and business work experience in a large Global IT organization strongly preferred. Experience working in a virtual, remote IT environment strongly preferred

2)            Extensive workforce administration and HR Operation experience, including employee life-cycle, employee data and data structure, reorganizations, acquisitions, and diversities

3)            Experience in producing high-quality deliverables in a matrixed organization.  Specifically, where the quality of the work is dependent on others.

4)            Strong background in global outsourced environments

 

Desired, but not required Skills/ Experience:

•             Self-directed

•             Effective communication of complex models, initiatives, etc  utilizing Excel and PowerPoint

•             Can stay on task and deliver quality work products in light of  ambiguity

•             Highly developed analytical skills with the proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and under time constraints while keeping attention to details

•             Excellent communication skills

•             Strong influencing skills and ability to constructively challenge ideas and positions

•             Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

•             Oral and written communication skills

•             Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

•             Strong project management skills

•             Ability to understand project scope and requirement and to work with other parts of the organization to develop project plans to manage the required project efforts

•             Ability to facilitate discussion, drive consensus, and build cross-functional partnership

•             Ability to stimulate creative thinking when approach new situations

•             Strong analytical  and conceptual thinking

•             Superior understanding of prioritizing business objectives

•             Ability to construct an approach/plan for the execution of priorities

•             Ability to prioritize multiple work streams

•             Ability to work effectively with all roles within and external to IT

•             Ability to align team member skills and strengths with project tasks
