Java/ J2EE Designer/Senior Developer  - Work Location : Jersey City , NJ Position Type : Full Time Salary : Annual Salary +Benefits

 

Relevant Experience (Yrs)	:	7- 8+ Years
Technical/Functional Skills	:	Java/J2EE Technologies:   §  Strong knowledge in Java /J2EE application architecture and frameworks. §  Hibernate, JUnits, Springs, Struts, JSF and AJAX frameworks. §  Web 2.0 UI technologies with hands on: Jquery, DOJO etc. §  Web Services Implementation (Both bottom up and top down) with in depth knowledge on SOAP and WSDL. §  JAX-WS and knowledge on REST API to invoke restful web services with understanding on WSRP. §  Application design and development with in depth knowledge on Design Patterns (MVC, Business Delegate, Data Access Object, Composite View, Singleton, Factory). §  Hands on using XML parsers, XSLT.  §  Experience in application build and deployment-using ANT scripts. §  Software configuration management with hands on any version control tool (PVCS, Visual Source safe, CVS, SVN, Clear case etc). §  Logging Framework with usage of L0G4J §  Hands on using: RAD, WCM, Portal Server Admin Console §  Possess strong knowledge of SDLC concepts (Software development life cycle) and web application design §  Knowledge on using Dyna Cache.   Portal Specific Technologies:   §  Experience with WebSphere Portal, JSR 168 & JSR 286. §  Inter Portlet Communiction with knowledge on portlet wiring and 286 specific communication techniques §  Usage of portlet preferences with custom modes. §  Knowledge on Web App Integration mechanisms with portal ex: Iframe, WSRP. §  Portal Themes and skins development with knowledge on customization and creation of new themes. §  Knowledge on friendly URLs and URL mappings   Portal Administration:   §  Good Knowledge of using UNIX commands with shell scripting. §  WAS 7.0 and Web Sphere Portal Server Administration. §  Creation of pages with access rights §  Creation of user groups along with personalization rules §  Knowledge on XML Access for exporting page configuration, authorization, access rights and themes configuration. §  Creation of clusters, nodes and resolving sync issues §  Knowledge on any sort of deployment issues while deploying portlet based applications. WCM: §  Knowledge on creating site areas and templates. §  Mapping site areas and templates to the content pages §  Creation of workflows and libraries. §  Good knowledge on syndication.
Experience Required		5-8+ years of general IT experience with at least 4 years of Web application development Java (J2SE) and Enterprise Java (J2EE) technologies Web Services/SOAP   Application deployment and configuration in WebSphere application Server console.   Experience on Unix shell scripting   Experience working on LDAP.   Experience developing JSR 168/286 with JSF, Portal Themes and skins with knowledge on using out of box portlets.   Experience Portal application Integration mechanisms : WSRP, Iframe etc.
Roles & Responsibilities	:	Designing of Portlet framework to integrate with multiple systems Development of Portlets Design document development and review WebServices development and integration Working closely with the developers and provide technical guidance Onsite-Offshore coordination
Generic Managerial Skills	:	Good interpersonal and team skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must.
Education	:	Bachelor of Engineering; Masters degree preferred.
