Job Title: Security/Firewall Admin

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: 6 Months+

Skills:

•  A solid understanding of CheckPoint, Netscreen, and PIX firewalls, with actual experience in design, installation, configuration, and operation of two of the three technologies
• Experience with CheckPoint Provider-1
• CISSP or specialized GIAC certification is required
• Bachelors Degree (or equivalent work experience and Certifications) in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
• Candidate must be highly ethical and act honorably, honestly, responsibly, and legally.
• Candidate must be able to weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to customers and management
• Knowledge of network protocols, data flows, and vulnerabilities within a TCP/IP environment
• Ability to perform network protocol analysis and raw data capture
• A basic understanding of dynamic routing protocols and static routing
• Candidate must have UNIX/Linux systems administration experience and a solid understanding of the operating systems
• Core Windows an UNIX operating system knowledge including network connectivity, security, and use of system tools and utilities
• Ability to understand, interpret, and apply local security policies and system hardening procedures
• Candidate must have an understanding of common vulnerabilities associated with operating systems and applications
• Ability to implement, maintain, and monitor High Availability Firewall configurations
• Candidate must be able to perform and effectively document risk assessments from to an Enterprise Application Architecture level down to a system file permission level
• Candidate should be knowledgeable with Windows Server operating systems and Microsoft Active Directory
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting information to groups
• Candidate must have strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills.
• Candidate must be able to manage time and priorities with multiple projects
• Candidate must possess project management and cost/benefit analysis skills
• Candidate must demonstrate leadership qualities and skills, including independent decision-making abilities
• Candidate must be able to influence others in a positive, goal-directed manner.
