Java Websphere portal developer
Location: Pittsburg, PA
Duration: 1 year contract
Brief Description Of Assignment:
o The candidate will investigate application issues, determine technical solutions, and make enhancements to existing applications. o The candidate will also troubleshoot, debug and solve technology integration and performance problems. o The candidate shall have experience in JAVA-J2EE technologies as well as Microsoft Web Technologies. o Candidate shall be a good team player, be able to communicate with customers to work on functional and technical requirements. o Should have application development experience in the following areas a) Manufacturing Functional Domain b) Application Integration c) Web and Application Security d) Performance e) Quality f) Operational aspects o Collaborate with architects to ensure that the products and components work together, meet defined standards, and meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements. Local candidates are given preference.
Years of Work Experience: Must possess a minimum 6+ years of overall technology related IT experience
Personal Skills Required:
o Excellent communication ability to be able to communicate effectively with clients, with other team members and with management as needed o Ability to independently research and solve technical issues o Ability to meet targeted deadlines with minimal supervision o Ability to follow and support USS standards for design, development, implementation and documentation
Technical Skills Required:
o Have sound knowledge of JAVA- J2EE enough experience to be able to maintain existing applications o Some of the related skills we use: · JSP · JSF · Spring · Hibernate · Servlets · JDBC · JMS · JAXB · JDOM · AJAX · XML · Web Services technology o Be self starter in developing new technical skills. Be able to demonstrate strong technical growth. o Be proficient in the use of software development tools techniques in software projects
Additional Skills/Qualities not required but would be a plus:
o Exposure to WebSphere portal and/or java portlets (JSR 168 / JSR 286) o Have Microsoft Web Technology experience in area of ASP, ASP.NET, C# o Exposure to the SOA methodologies o Exposure to web security features o CSS skills
