DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will support the existing business analyst teams throughout Claims and Underwriting departments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Works closely with business contacts to define and document the scope and requirements for systems development or enhancement projects.
Interfaces with business contacts and IT staff to manage project expectations.
Supports implementation and delivery of small to mid scale reporting and systems enhancement projects.
Supports and participates in user acceptance testing activities on projects.
Acts as support liaison between technical, design and production teams during development lifecycle and post production maintenance.
Provides on-going user production support
Supports and provides user training for reporting and system development projects
Facilitates reporting and special data analysis projects
Creates and develops routine and custom reports through use of company reporting tools and systems
Assists in developing, implementing, and coordinating user acceptance testing for all applicable business systems
Other duties as directed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of information technology and information system development.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Access, Excel, Power Point, and Word.
Working knowledge of MS Project and Visio.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to organize material, analyze a wide variety of facts and develop appropriate recommendations.
Ability to create reporting design documents.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree in information technology or relevant field OR equivalent combination of two years education and work experience relevant to this position.
Two or more years of systems, reporting, or business analysis experience.
One or more years of project management related experience.
