Cisco Engineer

6 Month Contract
Duties are often re-prioritized and change daily depending on customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge covering network security, routing, switching, voice, and documentation. The candidate will have a background in IP routing, switching, and design in mid to enterprise Cisco network environments and Data centers. MPLS design and operation is an absolute must and the candidate must have a valid CCNP or similar with a minimum of 5-6 years in the field experience designing medium to large enterprise networks and having hands on experience with the operations of DataCenter networks.
Overview:
· Will work as part of a team with daily/weekly direction on activities.
· Effectively resolve or provide work-around for customer problems using Cisco TAC case management.
· Create and implement troubleshooting and problem resolution plans as needed.
Must Haves:
CCNP Certification
In-depth knowledge of Cisco equipment implementation and software configurations
Networking Experience with the following:
o TCP/IP
o Multiservice/network design
o LAN/WAN protocols
o Fault resolutions and resolution techniques
o Network tools such as protocol analyzers.
Desired:
UC experience a plus
