Position:  SAP ECM/Master Data consultant

Location: NJ

Duration: 6+ months

 

SAP ECM/Master Data consultant co-responsible for driving design, documentation, testing, customizing, test fixing, and support the business from SAP side ensuring the blue print the project is completed. Skills in the following areas of SAP:

 

*knowledge on SAP ECM/Master Data (BOM, Routings, WC, Production versions);

*knowledge on the ECM tools in SAP including workflow configuration;

• SAP Consultant with deep understanding of Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP or PP-PI) module configuration experience. An individual being considered for this role should possess expertise in their area of SAP specialization and leverage this knowledge to perform Master Data Management related activities at various manufacturing locations of BMS. The individual will understand how actions taken in one area of their competence impact related areas. They will be able to understand, establish and manage the scope and quality of the areas of their responsibility for master Data. This role uses consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively implement master data standards and guidelines by performing process and data gap analysis and required data remediation.

• This position is expected to provide expert level business process guidance on SAP requirements and design, specifically in the area of MM Material Master Data and PP Master data. The qualified candidate will work with the team to identify and understand any data defects and new requirements and outline recommendations and guidelines for resolving data problems and improving data quality. The role requires in-depth knowledge of, Procurement and Manufacturing for Planning processes and their requirements for Master Data as well as significant SAP Master Data expertise.

• The ideal candidate will be able to provide on-site support of lives system to end users. The individual will provide expert level technical support for realization & deployment of the ERP solution specifically in the area of MM Material Master Data; they will execute & support the deployment of the SAP solution into sites providing over-the-shoulder support to impacted end-users as well as providing a channel for end-user-facing activities and feedback. Position requires in-depth knowledge and experience in: designing/configuring business processes in SAP MM and PP

 

 Requirements

• B.S. in Business or related field is required; Master's degree is preferred

• Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant SAP master data experience in Supply Chain and/or manufacturing related areas is required

• Prior experience with SAP technology solutions in large scale projects is highly desirable

• Experience in large scale data management and standardization efforts

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Expertise in business stream processes

• Expertise in Master Data Management

• Working experience in Supply Chain procure-to-pay processes, item master management, BOMs, Routing, Work Centers and Production Versions, and Business Analytics

• Critical thinking, analytical skills and business acumen needed to make decisions, solve problems and manage time and people resources

• Proficient is ETL and data cleansing tools with advance skills in excel and /or access is desirable

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to grasp technological opportunities and apply them to business opportunities and requirements

• Prior project experience in Master Data Management is required

• Solid understanding of SAP MM/PP functionality preferred
