1. Java (Core Java skills, ability to develop code from scratch, understanding libraries, java collections, developing Plain Old Java Objects and threading)
2. Database (Developing complex SQL queries or strong Oracle database background, strong understanding of how a database works and changes as it grows)
3. Web Applications- development of web applications using tools such as Javascript, Restful, Tomcat and Spring.
4. Unit Testing- JUnit
This java developer will be working in the Professional News Group. Currently the group receives a document and is able to load it online in 15 minutes. They want to take this process down to 10 seconds. High profile clients are relying to provide this information at a faster rate.
They will then have to do a live WebX with the development team and work through hypothetical code and scenarios.
