Job Title: Business Objects Solution Architect
Location: Houston, TX

Description: Onshore, preferably a LOCAL Houston resource with Business Objects 4.0 expertise. Looking for truly strong candidates that can take initiative and manage requirements working with Customers, Project Manager and Core BI team, coordinate tasks with onshore and offshore teams as well as work on development of dashboards and reports
Experience with BI 4.0 landscape, Architecture and tools is a requirement
Required and Preferred Skills:
1. Required: Extensive experience with the entire BI 4.0 and Business Objects XI 3.1 Application Suite (2-3 years) and overall Business Objects tools experience , at least 5 years
2. Required: Strong experience with Business Objects 4.0 connectivity methods to SAP Business Warehouse and other database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server etc (2 – 4 years)
3. Required: Strong development experience in building BI 4.0 Xcelsius Dashboards, Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports (2 – 4 years)
4. Required: Experience building Business Objects 4.0 Explorer Infospaces
5. Required: Strong understanding and development experience in building Universe / Abstraction layer (3 years)
6. Required: Experience working with building and maintaining Hierarchies, Row Level Security
7. Required: Knowledge of Business Objects security and Administration in XI 3.1 and 4.0 (2 -4 years)
8. Required: Strong understanding and experience with dimensional, relational modeling for data warehouse/data marts, Star Schema (4 -5 years)
9. Preferred: Experience and knowledge of Business Objects SDK, including actual customization work with the SDK.
10. Required: Strong knowledge of SAP BW query development.
11. Required: Strong understanding of the SAP BW architecture (Info Providers, Multi Providers, DSOs etc.)
Other Skills:
1. Required: Strong ability to interface with Business and End Users to gather requirements
2. Assisting end users with writing reports and performing ad hoc queries.
3. Work with offshore teams on a regular basis
4. Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to changes.
5. Ability to maintain own workflow and meet deadlines.
6. Ability to respond to frequent demands of multiple internal customers.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
