Required:
• 5 years of software development/testing experience in the telecommunications and/or application development industry
• Configuring, testing and T/S IP-based network systems – Heavy experience
• Test Methodologies, i.e. product and system level testing
• Network Testing environment – Recent Experience…
o …with networked devices (Routers, Switches, Load-Balancers, Security-Gateways) manufactured by major NEMs like Cisco, Juniper and Extreme
• Highly automated product test environment experience…
o …where devices under test are IP-based network systems, including routers and switching systems
• TCL/TK, Silk or other scripting languages - Automation experience – 2-5 Years exp.
• Design Reviews and procedures – of documents, formulating test plans, test procedures, and test cases, including writing and debugging automated test scripts
• Operational experience using Windows and Linux operating systems
• Proven ability to work as a member of a successful team
• Work effectively under pressure and able to rationally set priorities and resolve critical issues under these conditions
• Effectively communicate with team members and management team, on any product failures and defects, using great verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and must be self-driven to enhance the quality of the product
• An undergraduate technical degree and at least.
o BS or MS Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science is preferred
Desired:
• Network Test Equipment knowledge, i.e. SmartBits, Ixia, or similar test equipment is a plus
• Network Analysis Tools exp. such as Sniffer, Ethereal, HP, or similar, is desirable
• HTTPS, RTSP, Mcast, Ipsec, SIP and/or performance testing exp. is highly desirable
• CCNA/CCNP certification highly desirable
Job Description:
• Responsible for a range of tasks using L4-L7 applications testing skills…
o …such as HTTP/HTTPS, DHCP,FTP, RTSP, MCAST, SIP, TLS/SSL, etc…
• Write/execute manual and automated testing scripts
• Configure, test and troubleshoot IP-based network systems
• System Level Testing, using standard test methodologies
• Network Equipment Testing – routers, switches, etc…
• Design and Write test Cases and Test Plans
• Test Automation
o Debug Automated Test Scripts
Other:
• Report to Eng. Mgr. on SWAT Team, in N&A PV Engineering Dept.
