 Job Title : SAP Solution Manager Consultant

 

 Location: Bolingbrook, Chicago IL

 

 Responsibilities

 

  • Manage End to End Configuration of the Solution Manager Functionality and the SAP Systems Administration.
  • Coordinate with all the Business Teams and estimate the efforts based on the requirements.
  • Strong Client Facing Skills
  • Interface with the customer for providing status updates on the Implementation.
  • Provide technical support in Configuring the SAP Solution Manager Tools and setting up System Landscape
  • Outline the CORE Business Process and identify the critical interfaces for the Business Process Monitoring.
  • Configure the alert mechanism to report the key failures in Business Process Monitoring.
  • Outline the critical MTE's in CCMS of the satellite systems and setting them up in the centralized CCMS of the SAP Solution Manager
  • Customizing the CCMS based on the trend analysis and inputs received from the system owners
  • Configure the Service Desk and integrate with Business Process.
  • Setup End to End Root Cause Analysis and customize Wily dashboards for the critical KPIs.
  • Coordinate with other domains / Function teams and establish Implementation plan for Project and deliver on time of the same.
  • Document all the configurations and provide training to the existing support team.

Skills

 

Primary Skills

  • 5-6 yrs of Strong SAP Solution Manager and Basis Experience
  • Expertise in Business Process Monitoring, E2E RCA, CCMS, Service Desk and other Solution Tools.
  • Must have experience on SAP Solution Manager 7.0 and 7.1
  • Evaluation of current Solution Manager Landscape and understanding customer requirement.
  • Identify critical Business process KPI and automate the monitoring through BPM.
  • Configuration of Service Desk and customizing according to client requirement.
  • Must have Setup E2E Root Cause Analysis.
  • Must have experience on configuration of CCMS and customization based on the requirement.
  • Must have an overview on other Solution Tools like System Monitoring, System Administration etc.
  • Must have implemented and configured Trend analysis, Service Level Reporting.
  • Good experience in SAP Basis Administration
  • Knowledge on SAP components ERP, POSDM, BW, CRM and Portal.
  • Must have experience in Solution Manager Upgrades and maintenance.

Secondary Skills

  • Exposure to various Basis Activities like Job Scheduling, License Management, System Landscape Maintenance.
  • Exposure to JAVA troubleshooting during Wily Implementation, update of SAPJVM.
  • Exposure to setup SMD agent for all Managed Systems.
  • Administer Transport management system in-between Landscape
  • SAP System Monitoring and Profile maintenance & RFC Communication
  • Spool administration (SPAD, SP01)
  • Preparing report for Daily Checklist of R/3 transaction.
  • SAP R/3 related alerts within CCMS monitors.
  • Scheduling and monitoring of background jobs.
  • Error correction by applying SAP net notes.
  • Maintain documentation & daily check list of ORACLE database & SAP R/3 system.
  • Establish & maintain documentation of SAP basis administration procedures
  • Oracle DB patching, System refresh, System copy and System installation.
