Java/WebSphere Portal Developer
Work Location : Pleasanton, CA, Pasadena, CA and Denver CO
Duration: 9+ months contract
Rate : Market

Responsibilities

•          As a part of a scrum team, design and development of solutions in Java for portal-based web presence using paired programming, iterative and Test Driven Development techniques

•          Participate in scrum team planning and retrospective sessions

•          Effective participants in a Scrum team work on what the team needs to accomplish, regardless of their primary focus.   This may include:

•          Functional testing:  Design and development of test cases, and manual and automated scripts

•          Product ownership:   Work with the product owner as needed on requirements

o          provide feedback on major requirements

o          analyze, create or modify detailed requirements

•          Manage impediments:  Work with the Scrum Master as needed to remove impediments, including those that require coordination and work across multiple teams.

 

Skills & Experience

•          2 years Websphere Portal Experience,

•          4 years experience with open source development tools, e.g. Subversion, Maven, CruiseControl, ANT

•          2 years experience with SOA and Enterprise Service Bus

•          2 years experience developing solutions that are JSR 168/286 and WSRP compliant

•          2 years experience developing solutions for SOAP/Web Services/WS-I.

•          2 years experience with Oracle database products and database design.

•          1 year experience with Web Application Security and Single Sign-On technologies.

•          2 years experience using Rational Application Developer or Eclipse development environments; Borland Together or other Design tools

•          1 year experience developing solutions using Test Driven Development and Paired Programming

•          Knowledge of Agile Methdologies

•          Bachelors degree or equivalent
