Position: Oracle DBA

Location:  Dallas, TX

Duration: 6 months +

 

Years of Experience: 6 + years

Job Description:

Responsible for all aspects of Oracle database management, including:

Backup, Restore Replication

Tuning and Troubleshooting

Security

DB clustering (Windows/RAC)

Installation, configuration and maintenance of all components for the Oracle DB

Responsible for break/fix issues, with 24x7 support for customer impacting outages

Attend planning calls and meetings with AT&T and Alcatel-Lucent for personnel

Provide on-site Oracle training for IPTV Database team

 

Qualification:  3-5 years' experience as a senior Oracle DBA

Experience with Oracle 11g database installation, Configuration, Cloning, Backup & Tuning.

Experience with RAC 11g - Real Application Clusters maintenance, installation and troubleshooting

Experience with Oracle 11g Grid Control/Oracle Enterprise Manager, Management Agent setup, Oracle Management Console configuration

Experience in Oracle database design, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, database backup and recovery.

Demonstrated, in-depth knowledge of database internals and data structures.

Strong knowledge of SQL/SQL*Plus and strong understanding of PL/SQL and stored procedures/pkgs.

Proven experience managing the external and external database security

Strong knowledge of UNIX shell scripting languages

Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate

Other Skills:  Oracle Database Administrator Certification

Knowledge of U-Verse architecture

Knowledge of OSI Layer 3

Software testing skills

Technical writing skills
