Title: Physical Data Modeler

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Duration: 2 years

 

The Physical Data Modeler is responsible for the design and instantiation of the physical data model, based on the logical data model. This includes creating the base tables, associative tables, and views, and choosing and creating all indexes. The Physical Data Modeler uses input from the Business Information Modeler, the Capacity Planner, the Database Administrator, and the ETL Consultants. This individual must have the skills to understand the logical data model as well as the business requirements. The Physical Data Modeler may be the Lead Consultant on a project.

Customer facing role. Resource must be able to work as an individual contributor in a team environment. He/she will own work products and be expected to interface with customer. Erwin experience is a must. Teradata experience is a must. Retail is highly desirable.
