Pega Infrastructure Engineer – not a developer-type – will handle "systems" issues such as Pega configuration, permissions, administration issues, etc.
Contractor also will be responsible for installing and configuring a Pega upgrade from V 5.1 to 6.2.
Some "developer" skills so that the consultant can contribute on the other side if necessary.
This effort is in support of "ICD-10 – Re-Engineering Effort" project
IBM DataPower XI50 is leveraged by FEPOC to serve as an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). This position requires support for on-going Design, Development, Systems test, Performance test, User Acceptance test, Production and post-implementation activities.
Development activities require strong knowledge of IBM DataPower XI50, IBM WebSphere MQ, ODBC, XML, XSD, XSLT, and Web Service development, deployment, and governance.
Tasks:
IBM DataPower XI50 Developer will be responsible for gathering and defining requirements, designing, developing, and deploying the changes into various development and test environments. In addition, continuing to support on-going test and production implementation activities.
- Work with Technical Lead and/or Architect to gather additional requirements/changes
- Develop and support on-going test and production implementation activities
Also be accountable for the following:
- Meeting the milestones set for the project
- Participating in design, and code reviews
- Documenting and educating FEPOC internal staff
dates of assignment and the assignment may be terminated by FEPOC at any time, with or without notice. In addition to Claims Enhancement project, this position would also require development support of Web Service project.
Skills – DataPower XI50 developer:
This position requires a BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience, and at least 6 years experience with n-tier, database and service-oriented design/development with a minimum of 2 years experience using IBM DataPower XI50
§ Strong hands on experience with general development on IBM DataPower XI50
§ Strong understanding and knowledge of Security implementation for high volume internet facing applications using DataPower XI50
§ Experience in MQ Series, DB2
§ Experience with Web Services (WSDL, SOAP, XML, XSD, XSLT)
§ Experience in J2EE platform (Java, JSP, Servlets, JMS, EJB)
§ Experience with software development best practices (RUP, XP, Agile)
§ Familiarity with UML, Design patterns
