Position: Senior Software Engineer - Web Crawling (2 positions)

The Role:

Client is searching for a creative (2) Contract Software Engineer of the highest caliber. The position will be as a Senior Software Developer on the Web Crawling team. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and with a team. The person filling this exciting role will play an integral part of taking Client's web crawling system to the next level by improving functionality and minimizing processing time, in order to provide market moving news before competitors.

Qualifications:

- Highly motivated Senior Software developer with a minimum of 5 years experience with C++ on Unix/Linux.
- Must have extensive experience and deep knowledge of threading, TCP/IP, http / https, distributed computing, low latency software applications, web crawling, HTML, XML, XSLT.
- Professional experience with web technologies such as JavaScript and Ajax.
- In depth knowledge of web browsers (especially Webkit), web site construction, and networks is a must.
- Big Data and database experience is a plus.
