Title: Director of Information Services

Duration: 4-6 months Contract position

Location: Philadelphia, PA

The IS Director is responsible for ensuring delivery of exceptional customer service by directing and coordinating all information services, including telecommunications in a corporate Information Services environment for the Hospital. The IS Director is the primary responsible and accountable liaison between the facility and Corporate Systems Office, and will engage resources as needed to select and implement projects, support growth and expansion of services and escalate departmental and end-user requests for service as needed. Through participation in leadership meetings and in collaboration with Corporate Systems Office, the IS Director will lead the development of the annual IS Operating Plan and related budgets for and participate in the development of the Health Information System. In collaboration with

peers at other hospital facilities, Director, Information Services will also be a key participant in the customer satisfaction survey and service improvement initiatives.

 

Education, Training and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer technology or related field required; Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, computer technology or related field preferred

• Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in hospital information technology services required with a strong operational background and proven track record of accomplishments in a large, complex healthcare environment

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with all levels to develop plans, report progress on issues and skillfully facilitate problem resolution

• Experience with the Meditech preferred a must.
