Corporate Quality Director

* Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout a global multi-plant, multi-cultural organization; * Sets QA compliance objectives and ensures that targets are achieved; * Maintains awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues; * Assesses the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements; * Works with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers; * Ensures compliance with national and international standards and legislation; * Establishes clearly defined quality methods and standards for staff to apply; * Defines quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff; * Sets-up and maintains controls and documentation procedures; * Identifies relevant quality-related training needs and delivers training; * Analyzes performance data and charts against defined parameters; * Ensures tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary; * Supervises technical staff in carrying out tests and checks; * Brings together staff of different disciplines and drives the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures; * Liaison with customers' auditors and ensures the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications; * Establishes standards of service for customers or clients; * Prepares clear explanatory documents such as customers' charters; * Monitors performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent; MBA is desirable * 10-15 years experience in a senior quality management role * 5+ years experience in company-wide ISO/TS16949 environment * Experience in an manufacturing environment is required * Proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation * Excellent computer skills and proficiency
